These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SideMe mobile application (the “App”). By using SideMe, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

 

About SideMe

SideMe (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is an AI-powered coding learning app created to help users improve their programming skills through interactive exercises. The App is currently operated by its founding team as an unincorporated project. These Terms apply to and protect the SideMe team members individually and collectively.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, you will be notified through the App. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

 

1. Eligibility

SideMe is intended for users 18 years or older. Users under 18 may use the App only with the consent and under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

 

2. Account

When you create an account, you must provide accurate information and keep it secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

 

3. Use of the App

You agree to use SideMe only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms. You may not:

  • Copy, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App,

  • Attempt to bypass security features,

  • Use the App in a way that harms us or other users.

 

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

SideMe uses artificial intelligence to generate exercises and feedback.

  • Accuracy Not Guaranteed: The AI may produce incorrect or incomplete results.

  • For Learning Only: The App is intended for educational purposes and not for production use.

  • No Liability: We are not responsible for any damages arising from reliance on AI-generated content.

 

5. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

SideMe is free to use with limited energy. You may purchase subscriptions for unlimited access and gems to recover energy.

  • Payments are handled by the App Store.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled in your App Store settings.

  • Purchases are non-refundable unless required by law.

  • Virtual items (gems, energy) have no real-world value and cannot be transferred or resold.

 

6. Intellectual Property

All content and technology in SideMe are owned by or licensed to us. You may use them only as part of the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

 

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages resulting from your use (or inability to use) SideMe, including inaccuracies in AI-generated content. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.

 

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time.

 

9. Privacy

We currently collect only basic data (such as email, account information, and learning progress) necessary to operate the App. A full Privacy Policy will be provided soon.

 

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in French courts.

 

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified via in-app notifications when changes are significant.
